Double Chocolate Chip Biscuits with Walnuts

Ingredients

112g Butter softened
142g Light Brown sugar
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 egg beaten
155g Plain flour
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 tsp Bicarbonate of soda
100g dark chocolate (orange if you fancy)
100g chopped walnut

Method

Heat fan oven to 150 C.
Whisk butter, sugar and vanilla until light and creamy. Mix in the egg. Chop chocolate into small bits mix with nuts, flour, cocoa and baking powder. Fold this into butter mixture. Roll into 4cm diameter cylinder, wrap in clingfilm and chill for 20 minutes.
Cut 1 cm sections from the cylinder and bake on a non-stick surface for about 10 minutes. When removed allow to cool before moving (they are soft when hot), then put on a rack to dry out. If they are not dry enough, cook again for 5 minutes.
